Ty is a percussive fingerstyle guitarist from Richmond who specializes in unique guitar techniques like hitting the body, two-handed playing, and even quick tuning peg changes. He recently released his first EP: "One Small Step" and has received hundreds of thousands of views across Instagram and YouTube. His unique style of playing and knack for creative songwriting has earned him international recognition as a finalist in the 2025 Natasha International Fingerstyle Competition. After placing first in the USA, one of the judges commented that he was "one of the most promising upcoming fingerstyle players I've heard" and Pete Townshend (The Who) called his playing "Astonishing"
